GATE

Generative AI for Teaching and Education
GATE Logo (20231120)_edited.png

The educational hub for consultancy, collaboration, networking, and resource and knowledge sharing among researchers, practitioners, and educators interested in generative AI's pedagogical potential.

Why GATE Launches?

As generative AI advances, it holds great promise for transforming education. Generative AI tools, such as GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, could support innovative pedagogical strategies, including personalised learning, real-time feedback, and developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Despite the potential, we need more research on its pedagogical implications as an effective teaching and learning tool in the higher education sector.

HOW GATE Responds?

This initiative aims to conduct empirical research to develop evidence-based pedagogical guidelines and strategies and inform the effective integration of generative AI into teaching and learning. Further, we will invite university practitioners to exchange knowledge through practical workshops, informative seminars, and real-world curriculum design and development.
